Focus on the key areas when cleaning an office

A happy office will always be a productive office, and for managers, it is always a challenge to make sure people are happy and content when they come to work.
One way to do this is to make sure the office in general is in top shape at all times. Great interiors and a clean atmosphere will make sure people want to come in and do their work each morning rather than dreading pulling themselves out of bed.
However, there are key areas that you should focus on to make sure the office stays altogether better. While desks and personal spaces need to look good, it can often be better to leave these to the individual and instead focus on places that everyone in the office uses.
Most important of all is the toilets. Everyone needs to visit these at some point during the day, so they need to be pleasant. Sticky floors, bad smells and a lack of toilet paper or soap are the biggest gripes office staff will have – so try your best to keep these to a minimum.
The best way to do this is to have a cleaning firm that can come in perhaps even twice a day to make sure that the office toilets are in order. With use throughout the day, an extra check can be enough to make sure they are not repelling workers and causing unrest.
Other areas that need focus can really be dealt with mostly internally. The staff room and kitchen, again, will be put to use by the vast majority of people throughout the day, so you need to ensure they are not places to avoid.
In both of these, good employers will adopt a rota system. Under this, staff members will be allocated a week during which they are responsible for the cleanliness of the rooms.
This will involve emptying bins, keeping the worktops and tables tidy and generally ensuring there isn't rubbish littered all around – a real problem in staff rooms in particular.
By employing these tactics, staff will be kept as happy as possible, meaning they will want to come in and work hard every day.
