With all of Nviro’s Shine Award nominations received for the quarter, the quarterly Shine Award runners up and winners have been announced…

Front-Line Staff Winner

Louise Lewis – Cleaning Operative at Ashurst Primary School

Louise was nominated by Mrs Williams, Headteacher at Ashurst Primary School. Mrs Williams said Louise is outstanding, she makes sure the building is clean and welcoming for both staff and pupils to come into each day. Nothing is too much for her and she has a keen eye for detail and personal care. Mrs Williams also said that Louise clearly loves her job and is committed to doing it to the very best for which all at Ashurst Primary School say a huge thank you! Louise was also nominated by Tina Seymour-Rider (Nviro Area Supervisor). Tina said that Louise is always happy and very passionate about her work. Tina commented that nothing is ever too much trouble for her and she is very proud of the School that she cleans (which is very sparkly!) Tina said that Louise is a pleasure to have on site and all her hard work is very much appreciated. Well done Louise!

Kim Symes, Kathleen Howell and Larna Tierney – Cleaning Operative at Hampshire Police

Kristaps Ginter – Cleaning Operative at Chichester College

Office and Management Winner

Sue Smith – Business Support Assistant at the Hove Office

Sue was nominated by Rhea Morrison (Business Support Assistant). Rhea said she has nominated Sue for her consideration of her workload, prior to her going on annual leave. Rhea said Sue ensured that all Stores orders for the North and East region were as up to date as possible. Rhea said that this was very helpful and greatly appreciated as it made minimal impact on her workload. Sue was also nominated by Jane Stafford. Jane said that Sue showed her passion and collaborative nature by being pro-active when it came to helping the East region with recruitment. Jane commented that using her own initiative, Sue discovered that Brighton holds events in hotels with “Job Fairs” which she thought may be a way to engage with more and different potential employees, and be able to sell Nviro to them as a great employer. Jane said she is extremely proud of Sue for thinking outside of her remit and trying to help her colleagues with their recruitment problems. Sue Also received a nomination from Clair Gunn. Clair nominated Sue for her efforts in dealing with a flood at the Hove Office. Clair said the quick action taken and excellent communication with her, aided her ability to get the engineer back the same day to resolve the issue before the weekend. Well done Sue!
